It’s almost Christmas and you’re in need of a last minute gift for your teenager. But what? Surely our 2020 Holiday Gift Guide has tons but I’ve got even more!

Here Are 10 Last Minute Gift Ideas for Teens:

  1. hands holding a present - last minute christmas gift ideas for teensHydroflask: You say “my kiddo already has a Hydro.” No matter. Get them another. They can’t have enough. And shake their old one, I’m sure it jingles like Santa’s Sleigh with broken thermos pieces inside or has dents on the bottom.
Found at: Dick’s Sporting Good or Kittery Trading Post. In a jam, buy a Yeti at Ace Hardware.
  2. Carhartt Beanie Hat: I’m on my way to get this one for my teen. Boys and girls alike are wearing this hat. If they are out, buy a Carhart flannel or sweatshirt. Pro tip: Dads love Carhartt too!
Found at: Ace Hardware, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kittery Trading Post.
  3. Surf Lessons: Buy a gift certificate at one of the local surf shops complete with a few stickers for their water bottle or Chromebook and you’ve got yourself a real gift. Check two items off this list if you also buy a hoodie or beanie hat while you are there!
Found at: Cinnamon Rainbows in Hampton and Summer Sessions in  Portsmouth and Rye.
  4. Food Gift Cards: They are always eating. Our go-to is a Las Olas Gift Certificate. They love those burritos. Chipotle is a good alternative or local coffee shop.
  5. Slippers with an outdoor sole: Cuz they wear them outside! To my horror, my daughter wore her slippers shopping the other day. Apparently it is a thing so buy slippers with the shoe-type tread.
Found at: Bootleggers, Red’s Shoe Barn. Both these shops also sell Carhartt for a good two-for shopping visit.
  6. Super Soft blanket or pillow: Why do they need 82 soft blankets on their bed even when they kick them off while they sleep? They just do and they do love soft anything. Also a good kid-to-kid present if you have a pending secret Santa situation.
Found at: Making Faces (they have the incredible Barefoot Dreams brand) or places like Kohl’s or Marshalls.
  7. LED light strings that change color for their bedroom: Find the lights that have the remote control that changes the light’s color and you’ll be a hero. If those kind are sold out, any fun light string will do. Buy some of those sticky hanger hooks while you are at it.
Found at: Target, Walmart, Ace Hardware.
  8. Hoodie – literally, any hoodie. Summer Sessions has some good ones, Cinnamon Rainbows, too!
  9. Ropes Course or Zip Line Experience: Fun for the whole family! Good for the older teen or adult child.
Found at: Take Flight in Kittery or Alpine Adventures in Lincoln, NH. (Alpine has a coupon on their website right now for 20% off gift certificates!)
  10. Your Town’s Swag: Rite Aid typically has a kiosk with the local high school’s sweatshirts or tees. Also a great gift for mom, dad, & grandparents. Trends in Exeter also sells Exeter tees and sweatshirts.
Many of these gifts are also great if a child needs a gift for a sibling or cousin. We’re here for you with these last minute Christmas gift ideas for teens!

Sending you all warm holiday wishes!

Hi, I'm Brinn. I am an imperfect mom who strives to do better every day at caring for the people and pets in my life. Together with my husband, 4 daughters and 2 dogs, I live in Exeter (but have lived all over the Seacoast). I've spent the last 20-years working in the Recreation biz and currently manage of the Portsmouth Senior Activity Center and the Portsmouth Holiday Parade. Before Portsmouth, I worked for Rochester Recreation & Arena...Some of your children might have been taught to skate by me! 25 years ago I started my career in Boston at the New England Aquarium and pretty much love all animals. In my free time I volunteer for the Marine Mammal Rescue Team at the Seacoast Science Center as well as kayak and paddle board.
