4 Shows to Stream Right Now — Homebodies Unite

Let’s be honest. Streaming shows are the only thing keeping us from losing it altogether. So, whether you’re sneaking 30 minutes in your closet with Netflix + your iPad or staying up too late with your partner after the kids are in bed. Social distancing with your family has to come with some adult TV watching time– amirite? Better yet, include a Coronavirus-inspired cocktail. Times are tough.

best shows to streamHere are my top picks for shows to stream right now.

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet Apple+

From the producers of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, this dry comedy is semi-ridiculous and very relatable if you’ve ever worked for an egomaniac. Mythic Quest is one of the most popular video games of all times, and the series takes us through releasing the sequel. Hints of Silicon Valley, Mythic Quest will take your mind off the current state of affairs. For a mo’.

Little Fires Everywhere Hulu

First of all, if you’ve never read this book, now’s your chance. Secondly, watch this show. Reese Witherspoon is incredible as a quintessential wealthy, put together (yet not really) mother who rents an apartment to an artist mother and her daughter. What ensues is a twisted tale of families, classism and a search for the truth. F.Y.I., you can’t binge this—they’re releasing a limited amount of episodes at a time (I see you, Handmaid’s Tale).

The Outsider HBO

There’s no good reason why I love to watch super dark shows during dark times, but if you’re with me (and you love Stephen King), you need to watch this. The Outsider is about a crime committed by an upstanding citizen. Proving that he did it (or didn’t) is where things get crazy. This show is the creepiest, but the acting and twists are just so good.

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness Netflix

This is probably the most unbelievable, bingeable show of our quarantine time—and it’s all real life. Joe Exotic is an animal lover who owns a “zoo” full of exotic creatures. But fame and his own ego get to him and, literally, mayhem unfolds. This is the kind of show you may say, “Just one more…” and then find yourself still up at 1am. But it’s fine.

That’s it for now. Please let us know what your favorite TV shows to watch are! And hang in there.
