Who else is feeling the strain on their mental health? We know that moms are the emotional core of most families, so when mom isn’t doing well, it’s bound to trickle down to other family members. At this time of fear, upheaval, and changing responsibilities, it’s more important than ever that moms get support.
You can’t pour from an empty cup.
As the “Stay Home” order goes on for weeks (or months) it will be important to check in with your emotional well-being regularly. Thankfully, mental healthcare doesn’t have to pause because we can’t leave our homes. We can meet virtually and it’s easier than ever.
This list of Seacoast therapists is recently updated (and will continue to be updated) to include licensed social workers, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, and mental health counselors. Because of CDC recommendations, none of these therapists are seeing clients face to face. They are all are using telehealth options. Now is the time to social distance with our families – but our mental health doesn’t need to suffer.
Be sure to check with your health insurance company regarding telehealth. Many companies cover telehealth at the same rate as face to face visits. Plus, some are waiving the copay so you might even be able to see a therapist for no out of pocket cost to you! How rad is that?
