3rd Annual Autumn Harvest Festival (Kensington) :: October 1, 11am – 3pm

Local vendors are coming to The Farm at Eastman’s Corner to give the Town of Kensington a sweet treat!  Sampling their products is just one of the things that the Harvest Festival has to offer. This family-friendly event is filled with activities that the kids will love. Bring the community together and celebrate the beauty of friends, family, the season, and food!

5th Annual Exeter Powder Keg Beer & Chili Festival (Exeter) :: October 1, 11am – 4pm

Love beer? Come sample over 40 breweries along with many New Hampshire Restaurant’s Chili at the 5th Annual Exeter Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival on Swasey Parkway. Everyone entering must have a ticket. This is the only family-friendly brew fest you will find in the area! Bring the whole family, Youth and Designated Driver tickets available. Cheers!

Apple Harvest Festival (Dover) :: October 1, 9am – 4pm

Apple Harvest Day is a day-long family event, featuring 400 crafters, great food, live entertainment, and more. The event was first held in 1985 and now draws more than 50,000 people to the City of Dover’s downtown, making it one of the most popular regional festivals.

Applecrest Fall Festivals (Hampton Falls) :: Every Saturday and Sunday in October, 11am – 5pm

2016 marks the 42nd year running that Applecrest has invited the community to celebrate and share in the harvest. Their festivals offer a break from the tangle of everyday living with pure and simple, honest-to-goodness family fun. They’re a time when moms and dads, grandparents and grandchildren, can reconnect with each other and with the land to make memories that last a lifetime. So, grab the gang and come visit Applecrest where, as always, admission and parking is FREE. See you at the farm!

Pumpkin Festival (Candia) :: October 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 10am – 4pm

Bring the whole family to Charmingfare Farm for Pumpkin Festival. They’ll have sack races, pumpkin spoon races, and a pumpkin-rolling contest. Test your skills at our new Cow Milking Contest and try your hand at the Cow Pie Fly! You can even win a prize! Be part of a team and see if you can “Out Pull The Oxen”. Enjoy live music, Pumpkin Art (you can decorate your pumpkin), Tractor Train Rides, Horse-Drawn Rides to Carlton’s Hay Maze and Pony Rides.

Toddlerfest (Dover) :: October 1 – 2, 12pm – 5pm

When the big kids go back to school, it’s time for young visitors to rule the roost and enjoy exciting activities geared just for them and their caregivers. The annual Toddlerfest at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire celebration offers guests ages 0–5 experiences with music and movement, science, art and storytelling while caregivers learn how these experiences relate to their child’s cognitive growth and development.

Weekend Pumpkin Festivals at Chris’ Farm Stand (Haverhill, MA) :: Every weekend in October, 10am – 4pm

Enjoy fun with the whole family at the Pumpkin Festivals! There are hay rides, pony rides, a corn maze, haunted toddler festival, face painting, farm animal display, tractor display, locally grown vegetables, live animals, hay castle and much more.

NH Food Truck Festival at Red Hook Brewery (Portsmouth) :: October 2, 12pm – 6pm

The food trucks will dish out amazing meals and Redhook Brewery will supply ales and beers. Children’s activities will also be on site. Due to limited space at the brewery, parking will be available at Sig Sauer.

Strawbery Banke’s Fall Festival (Portsmouth) :: October 8, 10am – 5pm

Strawbery Banke’s NH Fall Festival, presented each Columbus Day weekend since 2009, creates a traditional New England country fair complete with demonstrations from craftspeople, heritage breed and farm animal exhibits, farm animal and livestock demonstrations, presentations on heirloom seeds and food preservation tips, fiber arts, demonstrations and exhibits on historic crafts and industries, coopering, candle-making workshop in the Horticultural Center, garden tours and demonstrations. Event admission is the same as regular daily admission with children under 5, members and active duty military/families admitted free.

Somersworth Pumpkin Festival (Somersworth) :: October 10, 10am – 4pm

The Pumpkin Festival will be held in Somersworth Plaza on Main Street and is presented by the Somersworth Festival Association. Enjoy pumpkin carving, pumpkin smashing and shooting, and pumpkin painting. There will also be scarecrow-making, cookie-decorating, storytelling, hay rides, face painting, and games. The festival will also have a main stage with entertainment, a food court run by local non-profits and high school clubs, and a raffle. It costs $12 for a bracelet, which allows kids to participate in all of the activities. Show up in costume and get $1 off. Adults are free if they’re helping their children with activities, but $12 without kids.

Saturday Night Mini Camp Fall Fun Festival (Brentwood) :: October 15, 6pm – 9:30pm

Drop your kids off at Action Kids at Brentwood Commons for a date night while they enjoy fresh apples, a seasonal craft, and free play, games, and activities in the gym. $35/one child; $60/two children; $70/three children.
